I’m a "bridge artist" between the traditional art world and the digital art realm. I combine watercolor illustration, digital illustration, digital photography and my passion for vintage paper ephemera to create both photographic and illustrative art for stationery, graphic design, and fine art reproductions. You might even see my art at a store near you as my work has been licensed by companies and reproduced on products in the stationery and gift industry. My work has been published in Stampington's Artful Blogging magazine. I have worked with clients in creating brand identities and logos, online web presences on blogs and social media. I particularly enjoy collaborating with clients to create the perfect art and layouts for custom invitations for all of life's celebrations.
My design style varies depending on if I'm creating for my own brand, Rosehaven Cottage, or for a client. My work for the Rosehaven Cottage brand leans toward vintage nostalgia with nods to early 20th century design, typography and color palettes. When working for a client, my first priority is to see what that client envisions and interpret it visually regardless of my own personal tastes or preferences. That is why you will see significant diversity in my portfolio.
My creative journey has had many twists and turns. I share my story below with the hope that I can inspire others to find their creative passion (click on any title below to read more about the topic):
